WBGT Forecasts
This page is updated automatically every 2-3 days to provide forecast of heat stress using Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT). The forecasts are made upto four days into the future. The forecast domain include San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, and Orange counties of California. The color coding is based on NWS recommendations. The times are in local (PDT) zone. WBGT shown are effective WBGT with clothing correction applied for a double-layered clothing (5.4 degree fahrenheit).
Disclaimer: The classified WBGT map above is calculated using NOAA’s National Blend of Models (NBM) forecasts, which are available at 2.5 km spatial resolution at hourly resolution out to 36 hours and 3-hourly out to 10 days.
